Donny Crevels vergezelt René Snel in de Porsche tijdens de Belcar op Spa
De Amsterdamse marktkoopman heeft nog altijd het racen in het bloed zitten. Donny Crevels rijdt samen met René Snel in de dikke Porsche de zesde manche van de BELCAR op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps. Zondag start het duo in het mega sterke startveld van de Belcar tijdens het Racing Festival. Crevels was jaren geleden goed op weg richting Formule 1 en was zelfs Italiaans kampioen Formule 3. Een gebrek aan budget maakte een knik in zijn carrière. In 2005 is Crevels, die tegenwoordig in Diemen woont, weer helemaal terug. In de Benelux Racing League gooit de Amsterdammer hoge ogen. Tevens startte hij in de Le Mans Endurance Series en in de 24 Uren van Daytona met de Spyker. In Spa binden Crevels en Snel met hun Porsche de strijd aan met de top in het Belgisch GT-kampioenschap Belcar. Er is dus ook leven zonder Formule 1 voor Crevels. Bron: www.autosport.nl Mvg...

De Vertigo van MRS Team Leuven staat wel degelijk aan de start van dit wedstrijdweekend. Niemand minder dan (zie artikel
 ) vormt deze keer team met Johan Van Vaerenbergh. Tijdens de 24U van Zolder bleef de wagen nog langs de kant, maar in Brands Hatch, tijdens de buitenlandse manche van het Belcar kampioenschap 2005, boekte het team met deze wagen een knap resultaat.
